A short film I came up with last year, created with the help of a great group of people. Thanks to all.

Here are a few new videos for Rapid Fire Review on the Pyramyd Air YouTube channel.
I am now selling my photos here on Smugmug.
Here is our latest rapid fire review with a neat little Open we did.
I recently created a short timelapse video using a XF300 over four days. I left the camera in one spot for two days, then changed it again for the second two days. The camera was set to take one frame every 30 seconds, and the camera was set to automatic iris control. unfortunately with the XF you are not able to set the shutter speed to auto below 1/30 so everything I had at night turned out useless.
Enjoy.
Here are a list of blogs that I check almost daily. Some keep me up on news, some have neat gear, and others are just plain good reading.
THE BIG THREE
Philip Bloom’s blog – This blog has ton’s of great stuff for us HDSLR folks, and some other cameras that Phillip gets his hands on.
Hurlbut Visuals – Shane Hurlbut is a Hollywood DP that has found a love of HDSLRs. Shane is one of the “big guys” when it comes to HDSLRs. What I mean by that is he’s using these cameras in circles that most other people only dream of. He also realizes that they are a great tool, and not always the right tool for the job.
Vincent Laforet – Vincent was a photographer for the New York Times and got into video because of the 5d mkII. Vincent’s video Reverie was one of the first videos shot on HDSLRs and he continues to show a good deal of affection for the cameras. He recently got a Red Epic and has been shooting a ton with that.
FOUR FUN
DSLR News Shooter – A great blog with updates from someone using HDSLRs for ENG style shooting.
Fstoppers – Cool tips and videos from HDSLR users around the web.
Stillmotion – A blog I did not get into until the creators started sharing things other than weddings. Some really great tutorials.
Wide Open Camera – More cool tips and videos from HDSLR Users.
There are three people I follow to keep on the forefront of HDSLR news and tech; Shane Hurlbut ASC, Phillip Bloom, and Vincent Laforet.
Right now Shane Hurlbut is working with B&H to do a series of videos on how to use DSLRs. There will be a total of six videos going through nearly all the steps of use in a production.
If you are new to HDSLRs, or an old hat I recommend checking them out.
Shot on Canon 5d mkII, XF300, XH-A1s, and JVC GY-HM700.
